Update on momma:
How far along: 10 weeks
Gender: Will know in about 6 or 7 weeks! Dakota wants to find out the gender as soon as we can & I'm right there with him!
Weight gain: 1.5 lbs. Since being pregnant I don't want sweets and my portions on food are much smaller because I just can't eat as much anymore. The weight gain is pretty much all bloat.
Maternity clothes: Maternity leggings are my best friend right now. I scored a pair at Old Navy for $11.
Stretch marks: None yet, but my belly is starting to itch so that kind of scares me. I should probably start lathering on the lotion.
Belly button in or out: In & I want it to stay that way forever. I'm dreading the whole "popping out" thing.
Sleep: Really good except I am having the wildest dreams that wake me up from a deep sleep.
Best moment this week: Since today is Monday I am going to go back to last week and say that best moment is when Dakota purchased us a Doppler. I am SO excited to hear my babies heart beat anytime I want instead of having to wait every 4 weeks.
Worst moment this week: Feeling nauseous over the smell of anything beef. My granny made beef tips for dinner tonight & I thought I was going to yack all over the place. It sucks because I LOVE my steak... it's my favorite food (or it was).
Miss anything: Not going to lie, I miss the fruity drinks & my occasional amaretto sour on date night. I'll stick to water please.
Movement: Nothing yet, but oh how I am looking forward to it!
Cravings: I want a scattered hash brown with ketchup all over it from Waffle House. I WANT IT ALL THE TIME. Also, I am craving Italian food. Give me the chicken parmesan, spaghetti, raviolis or chicken alfredo or all is fine.
Queasy or sick: Feeling good for the most part. The only time I feel sick is when I get really hungry or I get a whiff of beef. I think it's best if I don't step foot in a steakhouse restaurant.
Looking forward to: Our next appointment which is on the 21st! Even though we won't get an ultrasound I am still looking forward to seeing my doctor and getting my check up & hearing the babies heart beat! The first time we heard it the BPM were 165. I'm wondering if it's gone down or stayed the same.
Update on Baby:
At week 10 Baby Ward
- Has working arm joints, and cartilage and bones are forming
- Vital organs are fully developed, and they're starting to function
- Fingernails and hair are starting to appear, too
- Also, he or she is swallowing and kicking in there (can you believe that?)
- Is about 1.2 inches long and weighs about .14 ounces. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks (bring on the cramps)
It's crazy how just 7 weeks ago our baby was a little spec and starting to form & now has organs and growing fingernails! I am so looking forward to these next couple of months. I'm hoping to have the gender reveal party in December! Eeeek, that's so close! Hope you enjoyed my update! I plan to start doing a "bumpdate" as well when I start showing! :)
Until next time, Lexi!
