Another weekend down!

Is it really Monday morning already?! Ugh, my weekends just aren't long enough and the work week feels never ending. I'm SO ready for this upcoming weekend though because my hubby is off & WE ARE MOVING IN OUR HOUSE!!! Yes, you read that right. After 7 months of trying to buy the home and finally purchasing it in October & 3 months of renovating it is finally time for the big day. If I could fast forward time, this work week wouldn't even exist. Lol, but really I'm totally getting off topic here. Here's my weekend recap....

Friday night after work I met my friends Jessica and Amanda at Steak n Shake for some girl time. We all work together and through the entire week could not stop thinking about a delicious greasy burger and salty fries. Of course when you go to steak n shake.. you have to get a handmade milkshake as well. It really hit the spot and we had to go walk it off at the mall. I was on a mission to find some maternity clothes and new foundation. My first stop was Old Navy and spotted the cutest dresses. Usually, I have no luck with maternity clothes. They just don't really fit right and I'm left rocking the leggings and  whatever shirt still fits me. However, this time both the dresses I tried on I absolutely loved and seriously can't wait for the warm weather to hit us so I can wear them! After Old Navy I headed into Sephora with Amanda (she's my makeup expert friend) and looked for some new foundation. The one I have now is by Kat Von D and I like the coverage, but it is just way too thick. I need something that isn't heavy on my face and constantly wipes off when I touch my face. Eventually we stumbled across the NARS section and I asked one of the employees to test it on my face so I wasn't buying something totally expensive just to return the next day. It took her a few tries to match my skin tone, but once she did I really loved the way it felt and looked. Of course that was just a little section of my face, but I could feel the difference. I don't think I have ever been this excited about spending $48 on foundation, lol.

Saturday morning Dakota had to work and I woke up and ate some breakfast and really just lounged around until 10. I got ready and headed over to Ben & Chandlers because we all had an exam to take. Well, me & Ben are in the same class, but Chandler helped out with looking up stuff on the computer since we had to download some blocker on our laptop so the teacher could see our screen. It was kind of hectic because Oakleigh (their daughter) was really sick and wasn't taking long naps at all and wanted to watch Frozen a million times. When she wasn't watching Frozen she was in her car reading to her baby. Seriously, she's the cutest kid ever with or without being sick. About two hours later we finished the exam and thanks to teamwork we all did a good job. I'm happy to say that I'm still enrolled in my Financial Accounting class! Haha! After leaving their house I headed over to Pace at a bowling alley for my little sisters 14th birthday. It was really fun. I haven't gone bowling in forever and I didn't get last place! Dakota met us all up there after he got off work and greeted us all in his work uniform. Let me just say, I'm a sucker for a man in uniform. I brought him a change of clothes, but I'm glad he stayed what he was in. My sister in law is pregnant too and is exactly 10 weeks behind me. She is starting to show now and of course that means pictures! I did have a good time at Hannah's birthday party and I can't believe she's already 14. Seems like just yesterday I met her for the first time at the age of 9! Soon she will be an aunt and learning how to drive.

Sunday morning was a relaxing one ( kind of). I didn't go anywhere and stayed in my Pj's, but I was steady writing a paper alllllllllllll day. Just when I think I am all caught up on school I have a 15 page research paper to write. However, the highlight of my day was when I woke up and made some French Toast. I have been craving that so much lately and don't have time to make it during the work week. So the weekend is usually the time where I get my fix.

Well, there ya have it folks! My weekend in a nutshell. I do have some exciting changes for my blog coming VERY soon. Let's just say that Ash from the Grits blog is amazing and literally blew my mind with the preview she emailed me Saturday.

24 week bumpdate!

24 weeks and feeling it! Little man is kicking up a storm and I can feel him all throughout the day. Used to I would just feel him at night before I went to bed and he would make small little movements, but now he is just rolling all over the place in there. Like today, when I was training with some VOE's all of a sudden he gave me a really hard kick and it completely threw me off guard. I had to stop and pause for a minute to think about what had just happened. I am loving it though. Feeling him everyday is so amazing. Last night my husband and I were laying in bed and I pulled up my shirt and you could see Walker moving all around. My tummy was moving and bouncing up and down. Dakota actually got to feel one of his hard kicks... not once, but twice! His eyes just lit up and he smiled. I'm seriously so in love with these two and I can't wait to see them together. I don't think I could love my husband any more that I do now, but I know once I see him hold our Son my heart will seriously melt over and over again. Now that I'm getting all teary eyed... let's move on to the bumpdate!
"Getting closer to meeting our baby boy"

Little Walker is the size of a Cantaloupe! Only 15 weeks & 6 days to go people... which in my counting down terms is 111 more days.
  • He is measuring at 10.5-11.8 inches & 12.7-20.8 ounces
  • His see-through skin is gradually becoming more opaque
  • He's also got a new pink glow, thanks to the small capillaries that have recently formed
  • He is still producing surfactant, which is the substance that the lungs use to help the air sacs inflate
  • He also gained about a quarter of a pound last week in bones, muscle, and fat
  • Even though his eyebrows, lashes, and hair are coming in, it still lacks pigment and appears white
  • His ears and fingernails are complete by now

Gender: BOY!!

Weight gain: 8 pounds total

Maternity clothes: Just bought some new maternity shirts online from Old Navy & I can't wait to try them out.

Stretch marks: Butt cheeks & starting to get them on my boobs too.

Belly button in or out: In. (thank goodness)

Sleep: Sleep is good once I'm dreaming, but trying to go to sleep is the hard part. I just can't get comfortable.

Best moment this week: Best moment this week is when Dakota felt Walker kick me.

Worst moment this week: Just being uncomfortable and constantly having to elevate my feet because they are starting to get really swollen on me.

Miss anything: Steak! & I would love a drink. It sucked having to order sprite last weekend when everyone else was drinking yummy adult drinks.

Movement: Lots & lots of movement.

Cravings: Mexican, Roly Poly, honey butter chicken biscuits. I also did have a really weird craving on Monday for some Chinese food. It's all I could think about. lol

Queasy or sick: Neither one!

Looking forward to: My 27 week checkup in February!

Until next time, Lexi

My weekend in pictures

This weekend was a very busy and exhausting one. I went nonstop from the time I got off work Friday evening all the way through Sunday night. To say I'm tired today is an understatement. Coffee is calling my name, but I'm still too scared to drink it! Haha. Anyways, as my title said I had a picture filled weekend. From home renovations, to baby showers and birthday parties my phone was out non stop capturing memories.

Friday after work I had to run to Target to get a baby shower gift for my friend Kaitlyn and her daughter Harper who is expected to arrive in March and also a gift for my cousins baby! Layla turned the big ONE on the 14th and was celebrated on the 17th. After getting everything I needed from Target I headed over to my in laws and ate dinner with them, and my hubby. We ate some delicious KFC. After dinner was all done and my father in law headed to work, me, Tracy, and Dakota all headed over to our home. We painted the master bath and bedroom, and we put down some of the flooring in the utility room. We were over there a good 3 hours. We didn't get the flooring finished that night, but we got pretty darn close. Once it hit 10:30 we called it quits and I thought I was going to pass out I was so exhausted. Finally we made it in bed and all I wanted was a honey butter chicken biscuit from Whataburger.... but instead I decided to stay in my warm bed and eat a bowl of cereal. Dakota joined me in bed eating a cold piece of pizza. I don't know why, but I love moments like that. We just sat in bed and talked about the house and our future plans while eating a midnight snack.

Saturday morning I had to wake up around 9 because I had to drive all the way to Milton for a baby shower. The shower was really cute and the theme was cute as a button! The food was brunch style and they had mini pancakes and a French toast casserole. She made out and got lots of good presents! I seriously can't wait for my first shower in March! Kaitlyn is 33 weeks and looked so pretty at her shower. She said she has gained 30 pounds, but I seriously don't see it. That girl is nothing but belly. After I left the shower I headed over to Pace for my cousins daughters first birthday. The theme was mini mouse and Layla looked adorable in her little outfit. They grilled hamburgers/hotdogs, baked beans, and potato salad. It was so cute watching Layla open her presents. She wasn't too sure what was going on, but she loved all the attention on her and was all smiles.

That night we had a double date with my friend Jessica and her husband TJ. We went to Outback for dinner and I got the Tilapia with crab meat on top. It was SO good! I still can't stomach the fact of eating steak, but fish is really hitting the spot for me lately. Dakota decided to splurge a little bit and get crab legs. After dinner we headed to the movies to see American Sniper. The 8:15 one was sold out so we went to Buffalo Wild Wings and wasted some time. Everyone else got drinks and I sipped on my Shirley Temple. Finally around 9:45 we headed back and got our seats for the 10:30 showing. The movie was amazing and I loved every bit of it. We didn't get home until 1 in the morning.

Sunday morning Dakota and I woke up around 9. I felt pretty good, but knew that I could fall back asleep and sleep for another solid 2 hours. Instead we got up and headed over to Lowe's to get door knobs and paint for the house and then we stopped by Lumber liquidators to return some flooring and purchase other items. On the way back home we stopped at Starbucks and I got my very berry hibiscus. I just needed a little refresher to get me through the rest of the day since we were working on the house some more. We finished the flooring in the utility room and put in some of the doorknobs. I also cleaned up a lot of the cardboard boxes that were lying everywhere from the bathroom appliances being installed. Once we finally wrapped things up we met my family over for dinner at my grannies house. Later that night they all played cards and I went to my room and did my managerial accounting homework. I hated that I missed out, but I had some things that were due and I like to wait until the last minute to get everything done, lol.

Well that's my weekend all summed up! I'm hoping next weekend will be a restful one. Dakota is working and I see a lot of lounging around in my near future. Or doing some touch up painting.

Until next time, Lexi!

23 week update!

Yesterday I had my 23 week checkup and follow up ultrasound with my OB. I was a little nervous about this one because it was a follow up on the inside of his stomach and bladder since the ultrasound tech wasn't able to see it before (he wouldn't cooperate). She told me from what she could see that everything looked good, but she wanted to look again in 4 weeks just to make sure. It was so exciting seeing my son on the big screen again. It's so amazing being able to see him and how much he has grown. I feel like it was just the other day that we went in there for the very first time and saw him at 7 weeks & 1 day. Our little gummy bear just a squirmin' away. Now he's doing hard kicks in there and I can feel him all the time. Dakota actually felt him for the first time Monday night and it was so cute seeing his reaction. My heart just melts thinking about Dakota being a father and how awesome he is going to be with our baby. He is still measuring a week ahead but that's okay because he is a big, healthy baby!

After the ultrasound and getting to see him for about 30 minutes we were all done and it was time to meet with my doctor for my checkup. Before they had me wait in the room, they took my weight and blood pressure. To my surprise I have only gained 8 pounds throughout this entire pregnancy. My BP was 122/66 which my husband said was very good. Once my OB came in he used the Doppler on me even though we just heard the HB on the screen.. but I didn't care. I love being able to hear his heart. It was kind of tough for him though to get a good rhythm out of it because Walker wouldn't stop moving and kicking everywhere. Finally he calmed down and the HB was 146! He also scheduled me for my glucose test my next appointment at 27 weeks and my O negative shot. Let's just say I'm looking forward to my appointment, but I'm also really nervous. I hate being poked with needles and I'm also scared of the glucose test. I have heard so many gross things about it, but it has to get done. I just hope and pray that I pass it the first go around.

Update on Baby Walker:
  • He is as big as a grapefruit measuring 10.5 - 11.8 inches and 12.7 - 20.8 ounces
  • He is forming nipples
  • His face is fully formed now and he just needs a little extra fat to fill it out
  • He's listening to my voice and my HB. He can even hear loud sounds like cars honking and dogs barking
  • His inner eye components have developed, helping to build a sense of sight
  • He's got taste buds!!
  • He is still transparent, and a bit red because of the developing veins and arteries under his skin, but this won't last long because he is about to pack on the fatty chub
  • He is also constructing the blood vessels in his lungs that will allow him to breathe the air on his own once he's born
Update on momma:
  • Getting swollen feet (hubby has come to the rescue though and given me really good foot rubs)
  • Still out of breath sometimes. I can't slouch anymore when I sit
  • Hormones are raging all over the place, seriously I tear up over everything and I had a full on Kim Kardashian ugly cry when I got a toe cramp that lasted like 5 minutes
  • Constantly hungry!!!!!
  • Skin is still really dry
  • Feeling really good as far as energy levels are concerned
Here are a few pictures from his ultrasound! I also scheduled his 3D ultrasound for February 28th and I am SOOOOOO ready to see those fat little cheeks. Gah.. I'm so in love.

Oh hey Monday// Weekend recap

The weekend has already come and gone. My sweet hubs was sick with strep throat and an upper respiratory infection so he was home off work all weekend and resting it up. Of course I took care of him and made him breakfast both days that I was off too. I was on a French toast kick so of course that it was he got both days, lol. Now to my recap!

Friday after work I met my friends (who I also work with) at 2 Stix for some delicious Sushi! As always I got the black dragon roll and I tried the 2 stix roll (not my favorite). Jessica got 3 rolls and Amanda got Hibachi. We talked for hours after eating just talking about work and life in general. I am so glad I have those girls to keep me sane from work because seriously once this baby gets here I can't wait to have my 12 weeks away from my job. After dinner I stopped by Target to get some face wash and new toothbrushes for when Dakota starts to feel better. Of course I had to stop by the newborn section and ohhh my goshhhhhh they had their fall clothing on clearance and I got Walker 5 cute little outfits and they were all under $7! SCORE!!! Given some of them are 6 months, but they will surely be put to good use. After Target I headed home to find my sick hubby in bed. Poor thing spent the whole day in bed. I decided to sleep with him because I was not about to sleep on the couch. I just took Lysol to everything and called it a night. When I took off my heels my feet were SO swollen. I couldn't even see my ankle. I didn't even realize how swollen they were until I propped my feet up and could feel them throbbing. I texted my mother in law a picture of them and she told me I shouldn't be so swollen this early, but my app told me swollen feet are a symptom by 23 weeks. I guess I just shouldn't wear heels anymore. Gotta get that doctors note to wear sandals! ;)

Saturday morning I woke up and made me and Dakota some Cinnamon & Vanilla French toast. I'm not one to cook because I honestly hate it, but I was feeling miss housewife and wanted to make my hubby happy. After eating a delicious breakfast Dakota and I lounged around the house and eventually headed to the bank and then to his mommas to pick up my new address plaque for the house. It was my Christmas present but you know how Etsy is.. especially during the holidays. It didn't come in the mail until like last Thursday. I must say though the wait was definitely worth it because I am so in love and can't wait to put it up. When we got back home Dakota laid in bed while I got ready for my cousins wedding. I went with my brother and grandparents. It was a cute little wedding. Very small and casual. The bride is a couple days ahead of me and is due May 8th and she looked absolutely adorable with her bump in her wedding dress. The ceremony was at their church and then the reception was at a hotel she works at. The room was dressed up cute and had heavy appetizers. There wasn't a DJ or dancing, but there were hot wings (Haha). It was nice being able to see my cousin (the groom) all dressed up in his nice suit and smiling from ear to ear. I wish them both all the happiness in the world!! After leaving the reception we all went back home and just lounged around the living room watching Dateline NBC until it was time for bed. I must admit I am very happy  to have spent the evening with my grandparents because as I was laying on the couch she was playing with my hair and then Dakota came in and sat at my feet and started rubbing them. I was in pregnant girl heaven.

Sunday morning I woke up wanting French toast again and I made us some Peanut butter & banana French toast. It was VERY good and VERY filling. I got the recipe offline and it was super easy. It will be something I make Walker when he is a bit older. After breakfast Dakota and I laid back in bed and watched Castaway. I have never seen that movie and have been waiting for it to come up on Netflix. Willow decided to join us and sit right in the middle. After the movie I cleaned up the house and did laundry while Dakota napped on the couch and watched the Bronco & Colts game. He was feeling a lot better and decided to go work on the house for a bit just to clean some stuff up since we are having some appliances delivered the next day. He came back home exhausted (poor thing) and had to lay back down. I feel so bad for him. He is not much of a lounger and likes to just go, go, go! So for him to stay in the house and sleep all weekend he really didn't feel good at all. I'm also very relieved that I didn't get sick. I kept my hands washed and my Lysol on check at all times. He did feel well enough to join us for dinner. My granny made ribs, baked beans, and tater salad. I may or may not have had 6 ribs (oops).... no shame people. You would feel the same way too if you haven't been able to eat ribs, steak, or beef tips since August. Walker is just now letting me eat my favorite meats again. I ended my Sunday night doing homework and taking a quiz for my Managerial Accounting class. Literally horrible, but hopefully I can pass this 6 week class.

I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend! I am looking forward to tomorrow for my 23 week checkup on little man.

22 Week Bumpdate!

Holy cow..... am I already 5 months pregnant??? This pregnancy is seriously going so fast. My tummy keeps growing and my ligaments keep stretching. It amazes me how much Walker has developed and how much he looks like a little person. Most of his organs are done developing and he is in there just a cookin' away. Little man likes to sleep all day and then as soon as mommy goes to lay down he starts kicking and wants to play. Dakota still hasn't felt him from the outside yet, but I am hoping he can soon. I know he wants to feel his little one kick. He just needs to get bigger.. speaking of!

Little Baby Ward is the size of a Papaya. Only 18 weeks left!!
  • He is measuring 10.5-11.8 inches & 12.7-20.8 ounces.
  • His eyes are formed, but his irises still lack pigment.
  • When he isn't sleeping (which is at this point 12-14 hours a day), he is trying to touch anything he can. Whether it's his face, body, or umbilical cord, he is working on his physical abilities and motor skills by practicing movement.
  • His inner ear is developed to the point where he has his sense of balance.
  • His pancreas is already busy creating its own hormones, which thankfully helps me.
  • Getting bigger to the point where momma is having a hard time catching her breath & starting to get swollen feet.

Gender: BOY!!

Weight gain: I have had a much bigger appetite lately so I will see what damage has been done at my next appointment.

Maternity clothes: About to invest in a maternity bra. The bras I have now are KILLING me. The wire is so uncomfortable and pushes on me.

Stretch marks: My butt cheeks, & I am starting to notice some on my boobs.

Belly button in or out: IN!!!

Sleep: Sleep is good except for when Walker wakes me up at 4 in the morning kicking me all over the place.

Best moment this week: Best moment so far is honestly food. For some off reason I was craving Firehouse subs. I hate subs. But I got what my little heart desired and it was absolutely delicious. It made for a good afternoon.

Worst moment this week: Peeing my pants. It never fails. Yesterday morning I was getting ready for work and all of a sudden a sneeze snuck up on me. I peed all in my panties. It's so annoying & embarrassing. lol

Miss anything: STEAK!!!!! I would give anything to eat a big, juicy, yummy steak!

Movement: I have been feeling him everyday now!! Especially at night. I love it.

Cravings: Sushi, Greek salads, Roly Poly, & Mexican

Queasy or sick: Neither !

Looking forward to: Our appointment next week for my 23 week checkup! I can't wait.

Until next time, Lexi!

First Weekend Recap of the New Year!

Happy first Monday of the New Year, Folks! Here's a little recap of my first weekend in 2015! {So weird to say, lol.  I still put 2014 on all of my paperwork}.

Friday afternoon I met up with my friend Lauren for dinner at 2 Stix. We were both craving sushi & completely dominated two rolls (She is also pregnant with a little girl and two weeks behind me).  I got the black dragon roll which is my absolute favorite and tried a tornado roll which wasn't my favorite, but it was alright. We talked about baby showers, our symptoms, cravings, and even exchanged gifts for the kiddos! We both got each other cute little outfits. After dinner and saying our goodbyes I headed downtown to meet my husband, his grandma, and best friend at the Civic Center for a hockey game. This is the first hockey game I have been to since last season & I was excited to see all of the new players. Truth be told, it wasn't that exciting because all of the water I drank at dinner hit me while watching the game. I went to the bathroom what seemed like every 30 minutes & was super uncomfortable from the chairs. But I kept a smile on my face for my husband because I knew he was having a blast.
"Ice Flyers win against Mississippi"

Saturday morning Dakota and I woke up around 10:00 and got our traditional Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit from Whataburger & headed over to Lumber Liquidators to get some additional flooring for our kitchen. Our friend Ben works there and he always is super helpful and gets us a good price. I wanna say he has saved us over $1000 and he also spent one of his off days helping us put the flooring in. Thank goodness for good and loyal friends. He is also the daddy to miss Oakleigh who I post pictures of from time to time and wife to my friend Chan! We just love that family. After we left Ben we went back home so Dakota could finish the flooring and I helped paint some baseboards. I am so ready to move in our home, but I am so tired of renovating. It seems like it's never ending!! Once we finally got to a stopping point we got cleaned up and headed over to Target to start our registry!! We registered a little early because this is Dakotas last Saturday off with me in three months. He is starting his critical care class this week and has class from 9-4 every other weekend when he isn't working. We won't see much of each other, but I know he is doing it for our little family and it will pay off when he passes and gets a raise! Now back to the registry... we started off in Target and had a blast. However, I have to be honest. We were both SO LOST in the breast pump aisle. We both literally had no idea what to even scan. We decided to skip that part and head on to the next aisle. I can't wait to start getting gifts for my little boy! If anyone out there would like to order from our registry (you can find it on Target.com and search under my name (Alexis Ward)) we would greatly appreciate it. After finishing up with Target we headed out for a late lunch for some Italian which was the bomb.com! I got the homemade raviolis and a Greek salad. Seriously, yummy in my tummy. Dakota got a shrimp alfredo pizza which didn't look good to me at all. After eating we stopped by Babies R Us to register once again. Let me just say that Babies R Us is SO much better than Target and the employees there are super helpful with any questions you have! Oh & spoiler alert** you get a free $20 Shutterfly gift card just for registering! I am totally saving that for his newborns. It took us a lot longer to register there because they had so much more stuff, but when we finally got done we headed to Zac's parents house to watch the UFC fight. I love a good UFC fight, but that whole card was seriously so boring. There were no TKO's, submissions, or anything. Every fight went every round and barely had any blood on the floor.

Sunday morning Dakota and I slept in pretty late because we didn't get home until almost 1 from the UFC fight. It was a pretty lazy day. I did laundry, cleaned out my car, and cleaned up the house. Dakota changed his oil, and finished painting all of the baseboards for the house and then we cuddled for the rest of the night (my favorite). Also, all of our kitchen cabinets were put up so that was pretty cool to see! Our appliances for the kitchen are being delivered next week!!! We are getting close people. February is our month to move in and I am counting down the days.

I hope everyone had a wonderful first weekend of the New Year and enjoyed their time off! This girl starts school again on Wednesday.

Happy New Year// 21 Week Update

I seriously can't believe that it's already 2015. I feel like Dakota and I were just at the pelican drop for 2014! This year was a lot more laid back and we didn't go out for NYE. We both had to work that day & unfortunately Dakota is also working today.

Yesterday after I got off work I headed to Van's Nails to get a Mani and an eyebrow wax. It has been forever since I got my nails done and I know my hubby likes them too for back scratches! After getting my nails done I went home and got ready for dinner and Dakota got home about 10 minutes later. We freshened up and headed to Cracker Barrel for some southern cookin'. It was crowded at all because everyone was downtown partying it up. We both got the Lemon pepper trout and it was delicious. I'm not one for fish, but with this pregnancy my taste buds have changed drastically. I really enjoyed just spending the night with my husband and talking about what we all have to look forward to in 2015. The renovations should be done the beginning of February & we are looking at a move in date in the middle of February. I honestly can't tell you how excited I am about this home. It will be a year in March since we have started the process to purchase this home. It was a stressful 7 months, but in October the papers were finalized and the home was in our name! We will have the home to ourselves for a couple of months until our Son joins us. I'm looking forward to raising my baby in that home. After dinner we looked around in the gift shop and picked up Dakota's mommy a really cute pair of rooster salt & pepper shakers. Her kitchen is decorated in that and we couldn't pass them up. It was about 10:00 when we left and we headed to his mommas house. He wanted to see her and give her the shakers. Our cousins Justin & Linda were over with their daughter Emma and son Daniel. Emma is 6 months old and of course I had to get my baby sugar. She is seriously the cutest little girl minus the hair pulling, lol. We didn't stay until midnight because Dakota was really tired and I knew he needed to go to bed since he probably will have a rough day at work picking up all of the hung over people. We got back home around 11:30 and got in bed. We gave each other a kiss and told each other what our favorite memories were in 2014 and went to bed. I sure do love that man. It was a great New Years and I am so looking forward to the months to come. I actually don't have a New Years resolution for 2015, but I hope to be the best momma I can be to Walker.

Speaking of Walker, here is my 21 week update!
Update on momma:
  • Have more energy throughout the day
  • Still having those growing pains
  • Still having those nasty leg cramps at night
  • Wrists have been hurting for a couple of days now especially when I wake up in the morning. (Looked it up and it's a common symptom in the second half of pregnancy known as Carpal tunnel)
  • Hair is starting to thicken again
  • Getting a bigger appetite and loving cheese covered burritos
  • Feeling lots of movement especially when lying down

Update on baby:
  • Is as big as a pomegranate measuring at 10.5 Inches & 12.7 Ounces
  • As his digestive system preps for the outside world, he's manufacturing meconium
  • His inner ear is developing, which is giving him a sense of balance
  • His nerves are really developing, and sense of touch
  • He keeps putting on fat and developing wrinkles, which makes him less and less transparent
  • He has added rapid eye movement (REM) to his sleep schedule, allowing him to start dreaming

I hope everyone had a safe New Years!
Until next time, Lexi :)
